The Gradina visitor centre is located in a panoramic position overlooking the lake of Doberdò. It can be reached via the village of Doberdò del Lago – Doberdob. The facilities were created by restructuring buildings belonging to a former quarry complex, using funding from the European Fund for Regional Development, Objective 2.

The centre houses the main offices, an environmental and historical museum, the restaurant with a room given over to promoting typical local products from the Karst, a conference hall and a 20-bed guesthouse. Its courtyard represents a large space for open-air events and is equipped with marquee roofing to host concerts and theatre/dance shows and to be used as an open-air cinema.
